Two years ago, I took a leap that changed everything.
I stepped into entrepreneurship and founded Silver Fern HR Consulting, a business built on clarity, culture, and the belief that people practices should strengthen, not strain, an organization.
As I reflect on these past two years, I keep coming back to the name Silver Fern. In Māori culture, the silver fern represents strength, resilience, growth, and guidance, qualities that show up in every season of leadership and every chapter of organizational transformation. It felt like the perfect symbol for the work I wanted to do, helping leaders navigate complexity with intention, integrity, and care.
But the name also carries a more personal meaning. It’s a quiet tribute to my daughter - my greatest source of purpose and the reason I strive to build a business rooted in values, courage, and legacy. Family is at the center of everything I do and she reminds me daily why this work matters.
Two years in, I’m grateful.
Grateful for the clients who trust me.
Grateful for the leaders who invite me into their hardest conversations.
Grateful for the opportunity to build something that reflects who I am and what I believe leadership can be.
Here’s to continued growth, deeper partnerships, and the next chapter of Silver Fern HR Consulting.
